During the past forty years, the Canadian Hungarian Cultural Society had a long and successful road behind. We have been working hard to achieve the rightful recognition for our Hungarian heritage among the many different multicultural groups of Canada.

Only some people know, that one of the world largest international cultural gathering is the annual Edmonton Heritage Festival. In the last decades, our cultural society has worked hard to make millions of people aware of the fact that our Hungarian music and folkdance is beautiful, the Hungarian food and pastries are delicious, the Hungarian embroidery is colorful and that Hungarians are hardworking and friendly people. Do you want a better reference than this?

Our quarterly magazine `Új Toborzó` reaches about 2000 compatriots in and around the Edmonton area. During the past years views of our leaders have changed, we all might have different ideas, but we always agree in our effort to preserve and maintain our cultural heritage and to pass it to the future generations.

In our clubhouse, our library and the successful video nights give great opportunities to learn or maintain the Hungarian language. Approximately five balls and other cultural events offer a social atmosphere for friendly dialogues. These events are not only for members, but for new guests and visitors alike. The schedule of events is published in the Új Toborz`o magazine and on our Web Page http://www.ecn.ab.ca/hunclub.

Welcome to our club!

Best regards:
