Sounds of Shakespeare Reveals 3rd Season on CJSR 88.5FM.

 

 

The Sounds of Shakespeare Radio Theatre Company presents, in conjunction with CJSR 88.5FM Radio, a ‘Season of Shakespeare’.  Four new radio dramas will be broadcast in one-hour formats starting Tuesday, 15th April from 7-8 pm.  Every Tuesday evening following that will bring another hour of Shakespeare to the airwaves of Edmonton.

 

To kick off their 3rd Season, The Sounds of Shakespeare releases Julius Caesar, the great roman tragedy.  Bringing to the microphone are the likes of Edmonton actors Ron Sannachan as Marc Antony, Curtis Knecht as Brutus, Laurie Schwartz as Portia and David Falkner in the title role of Julius Caesar.  Julius Caesar is directed by Jason Smeraka.

 

Antony & Cleopatra, The second show of the Season, premieres 29th of April at 730pm. This classic love story reunites actors from Julius Caesar with Ron Sannachan starring as Marc Antony, Darlene Arseneault as Cleopatra, Jason Smeraka as Octavius and Scott Sharplin as Scarus. Antony & Cleopatra is directed by Jason Smeraka

 

The Sounds of Shakespeare continues their season with Cymbeline, The King of Britain, staring Christopher Allen as Cymbeline and Teri Arona Mizera as Immogen.  Cymbeline begins May 20th and will be followed by 12th Night broadcasting on 3rd June.  The Season concludes with the re-broadcasting of the Sounds of Shakespeare’s English Histories’ Saga from Richard the II to Henry V, concluding in the fall with the complete King Henry VI.
